Velvety wild berry and dark mocha flavours make this red hard to resist. Shiraz, Australia’s greatest grape, combines with a dash of Durif and a splash of plummy Merlot. It comes from famous, 135 year old McWilliam’s Wines, the most successful competitor by far at the prestigious Royal Sydney Wine Show on more than 18 occasions since 1994. And wine critic Oz Clarke lists McWilliam’s as one of Australia’s best producers of Shiraz. So Red Prince has pedigree? In spades! Perhaps Black Stump, another of our turbo charged reds, has finally met its match? Made from beautifully ripe fruit and given a touch of luxury oak, it has all the hallmarks of a winner. We suggest you serve it in large glasses with barbecued lamb shanks or a hearty casserole.
