Viña La Rosa is renowned for its estate grown wines that it has been making since the mid 19th century. This hugely popular Merlot comes from a large single vineyard which has at its centre the Ossa family's historic chapel that gives the wine its name. Under the watchful eye of master winemaker Gonzalo Cárcamo, cool fermentation ensures juicy, dark berry fruit while a little oak ageing adds spicy complexity. The Rapel region benefits from warm days and cool nights, while steep slopes and low yields complete the quality credentials. It's not surprising that citrus and avocado groves also flourish here. Rich and fruity, yet elegant too, this wine is smooth enough to enjoy on its own and lovely with casseroles, roast red meats or lamb chops.
