Since Hervé Fabre set foot in Argentina in the 1990s, he’s been a pioneering spirit in wine. Every year he wins Trophies and high points galore. Awarded 95 by Decanter, this is a full bodied, intensely flavoured, barrel aged red with silky length.
"Malbec may have made Argentina’s name in the wine world but its Cabernets are equally magnificent"
Beth Willard Buyer for Argentina
Raised in Bordeaux, Hervé Fabre left France in the early 1990s in search of new and more challenging wine territory in which to invest. He was heading for Chile but became side-tracked by old Malbec vineyards in Argentina and never left. Hervé now runs a leading estate in Mendoza, and another in Patagonia, and has won hoards of international Golds and Trophies. Every year his wines also score very highly with top critics like Parker, Suckling and Decanter. This superb red uses all hand picked Cabernet Sauvignon from Luján de Cuyo and Perdriel vineyards, where grapes ripen slowly. Aged for a year in French oak, it’s a full bodied, complex red that will make fine drinking over the next few years. Decant to allow the flavours to unfurl.

Laithwaite's began in 1969, when geography student Tony Laithwaite took a job washing bottles in Bordeaux ...
and fell in love with wine and the people who make it. When he borrowed a van to share their delicious wines with
friends and neighbours at home, things went so well that hundreds of little wineries all around the world were soon
queuing to take part. Today we're the UK's No.1 home-delivery wine merchant, with over 1,500 wines to choose from
including red, white, rosé, Champagne, Prosecco, spirits ... you name it. Tony's still at it - and now really good
at washing bottles. Read more
