Situated in one of the top spots of the Minervois, Château Millegrand produces wines with impressive richness and finesse. This gorgeous, velvety, mineral edged red is one of its best yet. The Bonfils family took ownership in 2003 and first off employed Château Lafite's Olivier Bayle to do the winemaking, and today his good work is continued by the talented Frédéric Aldebert. Jean-Michel Bonfils and his sons Olivier, Laurent and Jérôme have worked hard to renovate the 50 hectares of vineyard and cellar at this historic property. Made from the native varieties Syrah, Carignan and Grenache, this lush, barrel aged red offers intense forest fruits with notes of black pepper and spice. Serve with rare roast beef, lamb, game casserole or duck.
