Best White of Portugal Trophy, plus three Golds, this is a terrific crisp white. It's great value too. Two reasons we love to champion wines from this country. It's made from the native grape Fernão Pires and Muscat and is dazzling citrusy fresh.

Prepare to be thrilled by this modern Portuguese white. It has a wonderful array of crisp flavours thanks to a unique blend of grapes and meticulous winemaking. Portinho do Côvo is made by multiple award winning Jaime Quendera using the native Fernão Pires grape and Muscat. The vines grow close to the ocean in the Setúbal Península, home of Vasco da Gama and from where he set sail to discover the sea route to India. The coastline today attracts surfers from all over the world. Wine wise, a sunny climate and cooling ocean breezes provide the long ripening period essential for delicate aromatic wines like this. Seafood features prominently on the local menu so you’ll find Portinho is ideal with prawns, grilled white fish or crisp salad.
