Growers love the Pagadebit grape for its ability to ripen even in lean years – hence the name, which translates as ‘debt payer’ – while its floral scents and refreshing citrus character make it a big hit with wine lovers too. This fragrant white – Pagadebit with a dash of Sauvignon Blanc – is from a family estate founded in 1929 by Attilio Ravaioli. It has recently benefited from major investment, gaining a magnificent, state of the art, eco-friendly winery. Now Poderi dal Nespoli has been named one of the top five cellars in the region and their wines are exported around the world. Winemaker is Piergiuseppe Grimaldi, who makes good use of his in-depth knowledge of the area. Pure fruit, this wine is ideal with fish, chicken or creamy pasta.
