Penfolds Grange is arguably Australia's most celebrated wine and is officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia. Crafted using fully ripe, intensely flavoured and structured Shiraz grapes from premium plots in Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale, it's a charming red laden with fruit. Cherished Grange winemaker, Peter Gago, matured this iconic wine for 18 months in 100% new American oak, lending a deep seam of dark chocolate and toasted vanilla. Every vintage Penfolds Grange receives sky-high scores from the critics. In its 70th anniversary, the 2017 performed superbly receiving a perfect 20 from Richard Hemming (MW), a near perfect 98 from the Wine Spectator and 97 from critic James Halliday. Certainly a wine to squirrel away!
