Los Rosales Chapel Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Rapel

A dazzling fresh, lightly tropical Sauvignon from Viña La Rosa, the wines of which have impressed us every vintage for the last 20. It comes from the Ossa family’s premium vineyards – irrigated by snowmelt and shaded by 1,000 year old palm trees.

Owning one of the oldest estates in Chile, the Ossa family have worked hard over five generations to develop their vineyards to produce wines with delicious intensity of flavour. That’s why, in recent years, this cellar has been voted ‘Best Winery in Chile’ and twice won the ‘Best Wine of Chile’ Trophy. It’s why you also should expect an outstanding glassful here. In the hands of Viña La Rosa’s winemaker Gonzalo Cárcamo, this fabulous Sauvignon delivers intense freshness with crisp flavours of grapefruit, green apples and tropical fruit. It’s all cool fermented to capture the fruit, aged on its lees for a little roundness and bottled young. Very tasty as an apéritif, it’s also spot on paired with spicy crab, grilled trout or Asian cuisine.

"Really enjoyable, straight down the line, no frills dry white. Fresh, zippy and clean" Online Review
