This gorgeous red blazed a name for itself on the world stage when its debut vintage was named ‘Best Malbec of Argentina’. And that is some feat in a country that’s renowned for this grape. Velvet smooth with ripe black fruit, it’s ideal in magnum.

Great grapes and great skill combine for a luscious silky red that's sure to seduce your tastebuds from the very first sip. It’s made by the inimitable Opi Sadler. He coaxes so much richness and flavour from the fruit that his peers call him ‘the magician’. Yet he’s such a gentle, affable and modest man. When we ask him how he makes wines so delicious that he has two permanently in our Top 20! He just shrugs and says he simply follows the way his family has always made wine. That’s typical Opi! But we know he has a rare gift. For his signature Malbec, Opi uses parcels of hand picked grapes grown at dizzyingly high altitudes in Mendoza. These are then nurtured into readiness in barrel. Enjoy with spicy sausages, pasta or a beef casserole.
