The family owned company Félix Solís wowed us with Casa Bataneros Sauvignon from Spain, and now they are thrilling us with this top value Chilean. It bursts from the glass with fresh cut grass, tropical guava and lemon notes – really aromatic and crisp. But then they have been making wine since 1952, first in La Mancha and Valdepeñas, now in other top regions of Spain. Since 2014 they’ve also set up in Chile. They boast state of the art facilities and an inspired team with all the know-how that comes with experience. Add to that the quality of the fruit and you have this exciting first release white. And it’s excellent value. Chill and serve with spicy stir-fry, grilled fish or salmon with ginger. Best of all, it’s a great glass on its own.
