Prosecco is by far the UK’s favourite drop when it comes to fizz and no wonder when they’re as refreshing, elegant and palate cleansing as Montecampo spumante. It’s from the highly awarded Zonin family, creators too of customer favourite Ca’ Bolani.
Tasting notes
Gentle mousse of tiny bubbles, ripe apricot fruit with stony lemon zip
Aroma
Creamy lemon and apricot hints
The Zonin family have been growers in Italy’s Veneto since 1821 and, still family owned, their estates throughout Italy are now run by the seventh generation. They expanded into Friuli in the 1920s, where they make our Gold medal Ca’ Bolani Prosecco – a frizzante with a lively bubble. Montecampo is from their original estate and made in a spumante style – with a softer, creamier mousse, not unlike what you find in Champagne. Made from the Prosecco grape, Montecampo is a refreshing drop and adds a special touch to any celebration or get together. With Stefano Ferrante as winemaker – he has extensive experience throughout Italy and the New World – and the renowned Denis Dubourdieu as consultant, no wonder the results are so delicious.
