Miles from Nowhere is the property of Franklin and Heather Tate. Know the name? Franklin is from ‘Evans & Tate’ – the Tates are a founding family of the Western Australia wine scene. He worked with his family until 2005, then set up on his own, still in the same region. The name is a reference to his ancestors’ long journey from Eastern Europe to Australia over a century ago. Rich, ripe and spicy, this red is a top choice with roast lamb or barbecued steak.
