With 3 Trophies, 7 Golds and top scores, this white has all the credentials. A top estate, grapes from the high (842 metres) Tumbarumba, cool climate elegance with the richness of barrel fermentation, lees stirring and wild yeasts. A gorgeous drop.

Founded in 1877, sixth generation McWilliam’s is one of the most historic cellars Down Under. They obviously remain on top form judging by the huge haul of Trophies and high scores they win every year. The family have gained recognition in particular for championing the cool climate spots of New South Wales with triple Trophy winning wines like this Tumbarumba white and Hilltops Shiraz 2016. In 2012 they were awarded ‘Most Successful Exhibitor’ at the Sydney Royal Show for the 18th consecutive year. This wine comprises the finest grapes from Tumbarumba, hand picked, all fermented in barrel, some with natural yeasts and 40% in new oak. Nine months in cask with a regular stirring of the lees has added a luscious creamy texture. Simply divine.

"White peach, oatmeal, citrus and river stones, smoky/creamy oak. A seamless wine. A powerful wine" Campbell Mattinson
