Bordeaux meets Rioja in this delicious, perfectly mature Navarra Reserva from the Manzanos brothers. Ripe cassis and raspberry fruit with mellow, integrated notes of toasty vanilla oak in this Cabernet Tempranillo Garnacha blend. Fabulous value too.

Many of you will know the Manzanos name from the superb range of Riojas the family have been making for more than 130 years. However, they also own an estate in next door Navarra, a region whose wines we've been singing the praises of for years. Yet they still remain relatively unknown, which is why they offer such superb value. Even 20-30 years ago, estates there were experimenting with non-native varieties and the results were exciting. This sumptuous 7 year old Reserva uses Cabernet with native Tempranillo and Garnacha, from vines up to 60 years old. Hence the lovely intensity in this long aged red. Matured in barrel, this is a rich, complex wine with toasty fruit and a long finish. Great with tapas, with lighter meats or on its own.

"Such lovely silky complexity and richness in this wine. Amazing value for this age of wine" Beth Willard
