Marie & Sylvie Les Deux Sœurs NV

Bordeaux AOC

Marie and Sylvie are two nature-obsessed sister winemakers. And they aren't afraid of shaking up Bordeaux! Their aim was to make a richly layered, complex white. So, instead of taking grapes from just one vintage, they've blended them from three.

An exciting, new white made by two nature-friendly sisters. Marie and Sylvie Courselle run their family’s sustainable château in Bordeaux. It has all the credentials – HVE3, Terra Vitis and Bee Happy. Ace winemaking runs in the family too – and they have trained at some exceptional estates. They always make great wines, but we challenged them to a ‘Gentle Riot’. To make wine differently. And they delivered! It's a blend of Sauvignons Gris and Blanc, and Sémillon – all estate grown. PLUS, a three-way split of vintages! 2019 for roundness, 2020 for ripe fruit and 2021 for dazzling minerality. All aged on lees to lend that creamy weight. Lush, complex, layered, with bright fruit, it's more of a food wine, than a fruity quaffer. Delicious.

"Delicious. It is rare to find from three different vintages. I loved the buttery notes from the lees" 5-star Online Review
