New Zealand Sauvignon that nearly every year clocks up Golds, and Hunter’s was one of the first on the world stage. This wine combines finesse with exuberant passion fruit ripeness and brilliant lemon minerality. A top vintage snatched from disaster.

Mention Sauvignon Blanc to any wine lover and Marlborough is sure to come up – yet 30 years ago this region in New Zealand was known only for barley and sheep. The success story of Marlborough is one of the most remarkable in modern wine, and one in which Hunter’s can claim to have played a major part. Today the estate is run by Jane Hunter, herself a trained viticulturist. She has a string of accolades for her excellent work, including an OBE and Companion of the NZ Order of Merit for services to viticulture. It is made today by Jane’s nephew James Macdonald. From a very fine vintage that nearly didn't happen, the wine is brimful of passion fruit, crisp apple and citrus. It’s delicious on its own and great with oysters, fish or spicy Thai.

"Loved this. A new family favourite. Great example of a New Zealand Marlborough white wine, excellent" Online Review
