Expect love at first sip. Lucchetti d’Amore is crafted from Garganega grown on hillside vineyards overlooking Verona, the famed ‘City of Love’ and setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Following hand selection, the grapes are dried for 30 days in the estate’s fruttaio (a special ventilated loft) to concentrate the juice. The wine’s aromas and flavours are further enhanced by leaving the skins of the grapes with the juice prior to fermentation. The result is an elegant, expressive wine with creamy stone fruit and tropical characters infused with touches of spice and vanilla from partial ageing in French oak barrels. Enjoy this rare and delicious white as an apéritif, or alongside roast chicken or a selection of cheeses.
