Pinot Grigio has been growing in Australia since 1832, but only in the last 20 years have plantings taken much of a hold. Now, of course, everyone is thirsty for this grape and Bill Calabria’s is among the tastiest and best. Bill is one of our longest standing friends in Australia. His family estate was founded in 1927 by his parents, who’d emigrated from southern Italy. Bill took over in 1974 and, since then, they have won trophies and medals galore. Bill doesn’t grow all the grapes himself, but works closely with grower friends to obtain the highest quality. Selecting the finest Pinot Grigio from right across New South Wales, he’s crafted a really characterful white. A top choice solo or with all sorts of seafood or spicy Asian dishes.
