For everyone who loves a classic claret, this powerful fruity red comes from the Médoc region of Pauillac, home to the very finest châteaux Bordeaux can boast (think Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Lafite Rothschild). Just down the road is Château Grand Puy Lacoste – classified as a Fifth Growth in Bordeaux’s famous 1855 classification, it consistently punches above its weight. With deep, gravelly vineyards perfect for growing tip-top Cabernet Sauvignon, it receives rave reviews year on year. Lacoste-Borie is the ‘second wine’ of Grand Puy Lacoste, made with approachability in mind, lush fruit, lovely length, and a more affordable price. We snap it up whenever we can so that you can savour it too. Great with roast beef or any celebratory dinner.
