Wine Advocate’s Luis Gutiérrez praises the iconic La Rioja Alta winery: “Great Rioja, as traditional as it gets, and moderate (and often plain great) prices.” Founded in 1890 by five quality driven winemaking families, the bodega is truly outstanding and even boasts its own cooperage. Their Club de Cosecheras wines are special bottlings for a private client, so this is even rarer. Our Buyer Beth raved about the remarkable freshness of its plum and berry fruit, overlaid by mellow spice. It's an exciting find. The cork is its original, so may crumble on opening. If that happens, simply push into the wine, then sieve as you pour into a decanter. Don't give it breathing time, it's old, just savour all its breadth of richness and flavour.
