Jérémie Mourat makes wines that you won’t forget. His Sauvignon Blanc, for one, stands out for its remarkable ripe fruit, yet it's intensely crisp and refreshing, too. Well, his father did know the Marie du Fou estate was a special spot when he bought it in 1974. Since Jérémie took over in 1999, he has expanded the vineyards fivefold, bought two small organic estates and built a brand new cellar. Jérémie is meticulous about quality, and a winemaker who is always keen to try something new. For instance, he's currently also working on a Chenin Blanc project in South Africa, and on a special long aged Muscadet. Using old vine grapes, this white's wonderfully concentrated with creamy lemon fruit. Delicious solo or with salmon or spicy stir-fry.
