The team at Hush Heath have come a long way since the first vines were planted back in 2002. Hush Heath Manor dates back to the 16th century and since the 1980s has been the home of the Balfour-Lynn family. The estate stretches across 160 hectares, 16 of which are planted under vine. The growers are firm believers in sustainability and have planted hedgerows around each vineyard. These, combined with the property’s ancient oak woodlands, give Hush Heath its own microclimate, slightly warmer than the surrounding area. This is vital in England’s cool climate as it gives the fruit extra ripening time, allowing the grapes to develop the flavour characteristics that make it to your glass. Crisp, lively and refreshing, it’s an ideal aperitif.
