A Gold and 5 Stars are clear pointers to quality in this exotic Gewurztraminer. It is from the great Hunter’s estate that put NZ Sauvignon on the map in 1986. Its award winning success has been phenomenal. Intense, aromatic, rose petal and spice.

More information
The great grape of Alsace, Gewurztraminer is right at home in the Marlborough climate. Hunter’s Gewurz is rich, zesty and with passionfruit, lychee and rose petal aromas. As delicious on its own as with curries or tagines. Just 30 years ago Marlborough was known only for barley and sheep. The success story of this remote wine region is one of the most remarkable in modern times, and one in which Hunter’s can justly claim to have played a major part. Raise a glass then to Jane Hunter, not only a highly trained viticulturist with a string of accolades for her work (including a ‘UK Women in Wine Award’) but an OBE and, most recently, Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM) for services to viticulture. A beautifully judged white.
