Critic Jeb Dunnock wrote of this top vintage Rhône white, “always a winner. A smoking value”. It's from the Guigal estate that produces “some of the most incredible and singular wines in the world”, said Wine Advocate. A superb, pure, aromatic white.

There is praise for this remarkable Côtes du Rhône white every year – as this wine “continues to over deliver in just about every vintage” (Wine Advocate). That was particularly true of 5-Star 2019 made by third generation winemaker Philippe Guigal. Originally the domaine focused on wines from the northern Rhône only, but now the Guigal name is synonymous with superior quality in every Rhône appellation. Among the whites, the family particularly love the Viognier grape, dominant here and also in their most famous Condrieu, La Doriane (98 Parker points for the 2010). This varietal’s distinctive white flower aromas are at the fore here, along with splashes of other native Rhône grapes. Gently chill and try with crab salad or spicy Asian food.
