Over the years, Ken Forrester has won an enormous number of top awards from all over the world. He was one of the first in the Cape to show just how brilliant Chenin Blanc could be. Bring yields down and handle it gently and the wines can be terrific. This was all done at his Stellenbosch estate. Vines have been planted there since 1689, just ten years after Stellenbosch itself was founded. It went through some ups and downs, then Ken and wife Teresa bought the derelict farmhouse and land in 1993. They set about huge renovations and produced their first wine a year later. Just 400 cases! Ken is very much about purity of fruit and sustainability in the vineyard. You'll taste that in this brilliant lemony white. A great choice with salmon.
