Martínez Bujanda has been making Riojas for over 100 years and is one of the most innovative and influential bodegas in the appellation. The estate was founded in the late 19th century, then was transformed in 1984 when the Bujanda brothers built an ultra modern facility, still one of the finest in Europe. In addition, they insist on using exclusively estate grown grapes for all their wines, so they have total control over quality, from grape to glass. No wonder Martínez Bujanda has been listed among the top 50 wineries in the world many years in succession. The charming Los Trinos (‘the trills’), named after the sound of the estate’s abundant birdlife, offers smooth, elegant berry flavours. Very tasty on its own, or with chicken or tapas.
