Campiño Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Valencia DO

Our Buyer for Spain Beth Willard doesn’t believe in dressing up a wine with expensive oak and a fancy label if it’s a simple, delicious wine. She tasted this Cabernet in Valencia and was charmed by its juicy, easy, ripe fruit. All at a great price.

We’ve unearthed a host of outstanding wines from Valencia lately. This is our most recent, a Cabernet Sauvignon bursting with character. Not a hint of oak, just pure, unadulterated, bright berry flavours all the way. Plus, it has the gentle touch of Maria Angeles Camara, chief winemaker at Bodegas La Viña, in southern Valencia. She makes our much loved Palacio del Conde barrel aged wines and has now turned her attention to a modern, fresh and exceptionally fruity style ready to drink right now. So, working closely with her trusted grape grower Manuela Sanchez, she chose a very special parcel of ultra ripe Cabernet Sauvignon. This fruit filled, easy drinking red is so versatile, it should be in everyone’s possession for regular enjoyment.
