Founded in 1946, Domaine Ferraton has always been a highly regarded estate. Yet since the Chapoutiers have come on board quality has risen a big step higher. The Ferraton family started working with Michel Chapoutier in 1998, the latter buying the estate outright in 2004, but running it very much as an independent concern. The family is still very much at the helm. Oenologist Damien Brisset and the renowned Stéphane Ogier are also part of the ‘super team’ and the result is some really impressive wines. Add in the 5-Star quality of the 2016 vintage and grapes produced to the highest biodynamic standards, and you’ll understand the sumptuous brilliance you can look forward to. Pure Syrah, part oak aged, silky, dense and long. Ideal with lamb.

"Flowing black cherry and blueberry fruit which is constrained by live tannins. Serious depth here" J Livingstone-Learmonth
