"I loved the minerally freshness and beguiling red fruit aromas of this classic Provençal rosé"
Jean-Marc Sauboua Buyer for Provence
Provence’s rosés have long been popular with the many tourists who flock to the region every year. Yet they offer much more than a holiday tipple, with real elegance and complex fruit too. Perhaps this shouldn’t be surprising as Provence has an ideal sunny climate for this refreshing style. This delightful pink is from fourth generation winemakers Patrick and Véronique Bataille at Domaine de l’Estan in the village of Carcès, in the heart of Provence. Their vineyards are surrounded by wooded slopes and south-facing with excellent, well-drained soils – all the elements needed to produce the appealing fruit you’ll find in this wine. Rounded, with a savoury subtle fruitiness, this rosé is perfect with salmon, salt and pepper squid or stir-fry.
