If you enjoy quality wine and appreciate value, southern France offers a cornucopia of pleasures, but you really do have to know where to look. Let us be your guide – we have been wending our way around villages and vineyards there since the late 1960s so we know our stuff and have hundreds of invaluable connections. Our Buyer Beth called in on one recently – the affable Yannick Pons of Domaine Pons. His beautiful estate is skirted by the Canal du Midi and the Roman road Via Domitia, not far from the famous Oppidum (hilltop town) d’Ensérune, which dates back some 3,000 years. This is prime Chardonnay country, producing lovely, pure, creamy wine in the modern style. It’s perfect on its own or with salads, fish dishes or roast chicken.

"A little gem. Really fresh unoaked Chardonnay. Light and clean on the palate" Online Review
