This historic property, family owned since 1791, was bought in 1967 by one of the most impressive houses in Burgundy, Maison Albert Bichot (although the domaine is still autonomously run). It holds an international reputation for outstanding Chablis. Robert Parker even said: “Long Depaquit make some of the best Grand Cru Chablis.” This is their excellent 2019 Grand Cru Bougros. A modest plot of premium land that enjoys superb south-westerly exposure to the afternoon sun. It also has an above-average planting density, encouraging competition between vines and limiting yields. This results in a smaller amount of fruit with superbly high concentration of flavour. A slow ferment in oak and 10 months ageing on fine lees gives great complexity.
