Our Buyer for southern France, Mark Hoddy, a winemaker himself and a rabid Roussillon fanatic, was overjoyed when he bagged this great wine. Having worked in the area himself, Mark has great contacts. These include the Paux-Rosset family, owners of the amazing Château de la Négly in Languedoc's ‘Premier Cru’ La Clape, and their consultant winemaker Claude Gros. The family also have the tiny Domaine Bisconte estate, further south in the Roussillon. It’s a new venture for Jean Paux-Rosset, so he was very open to making an exclusive cuvée for our customers. Using all hand picked, low yield grapes, Grenache, Carignan and Syrah – the stars of the area – it was gently vinified and finished in oak barriques. Dense and spicy, a top choice for lamb.

"Packed with intense Grenache fruit and French oak perfection, this Roussillon red is pure power" Mark Hoddy
