This leading family owned and run estate have been making exceptional Burgundy since 1831, their wines characterised by elegance and delicate nuance. The house owns over 100 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards, many of which hold Premier and Grand Cru status. This fine, mature Pinot Noir comes from vineyards in Santenay, at the southernmost tip of Beaune. Plots that hug neighbouring Premier Cru land make deliciously well priced wines. 2015 was an exceptional vintage, one that is well worth snapping up. The weather gave impressive concentration to the Pinot Noir with ample, fleshy, ripe fruit and impressive depth of flavour. With over a year in oak, there is subtle smoky spice to ripe red fruits. Open early and decant. Ideal with duck.
