As Decanter magazine notes, at its best “Prosecco caresses the palate in a way unmatched by other sparkling wines”. The latest addition to our range is pale gold Decanal, which you’ll love for its fine balance of fruit, freshness and gentle fizz.
"Ticks all the boxes for me. This is a delicious new find with irresistible freshness"
Davy Zyw Buyer for Italy
Prosecco is the UK’s favourite fizz, and no wonder when it’s as refreshing, elegant and palate cleansing as Decanal from Casa Girelli. Founded in the 19th century, Casa Girelli has stood the test of time by devoting itself to producing consistently high quality wines. Today their wide portfolio of wines is sold throughout Italy and around the world. The grapes for Decanal are grown on high slopes within the Veneto region. Have you ever considered why Prosecco is fizzy? The wine becomes bubbly as a result of a second fermentation inside low temperature pressurised tanks. The carbon dioxide produced at this stage dissolves into the wine. Serve well chilled in tall flutes, on its own or with canapés. It also goes very well with fish and chips!

Laithwaite's began in 1969, when geography student Tony Laithwaite took a job washing bottles in Bordeaux ...
and fell in love with wine and the people who make it. When he borrowed a van to share their delicious wines with
friends and neighbours at home, things went so well that hundreds of little wineries all around the world were soon
queuing to take part. Today we're the UK's No.1 home-delivery wine merchant, with over 1,500 wines to choose from
including red, white, rosé, Champagne, Prosecco, spirits ... you name it. Tony's still at it - and now really good
at washing bottles. Read more
