For the last 15 years, Argentina has wowed us with the wonders of Malbec. It adopted this variety from Bordeaux and southwest France and made the grape its own, softening its renowned tannins and bringing out all its appealing supple black fruit and floral aromas. Con Carne is the creation of winemaker Diego Sinatra (no relation to the legend), who learnt his skill at some of the country's top cellars. He's partial to the staple diet of the country - premium steak – and made the wine with this in mind. He sourced the grapes from top-performing vineyards in Tupungato in Mendoza's Uco Valley. This area has some of the highest, coolest and best-drained vineyards. No wonder this red has a freshness and appealing fruit, perfect with meat dishes.

"Most enjoyable. Black fruit with a sour cherry kick. Looking forward to the second bottle!" Online Review
