From a superb vineyard and a 12th-generation family winery comes this appealing white. Most Alsace wines are single varietals (one grape), but this is a classic blend of Pinots Gris and Blanc, Riesling and Sylvaner. Floral with pretty peach fruit.

Our buyer was delighted to snap up this wine - a one-off opportunity due to a pandemic-shut restaurant and cancelled order. As its name suggests, it's a truly elegant white – a classic blend of Alsace's finest grapes: creamy peach Pinot Blanc, the spice of Pinot Gris, floral notes from Sylvaner and the citrus zip of Riesling. It's from the special Lucien Meyer vineyard and crafted by Maison Cattin, one of the oldest family wineries in all Alsace. Southeast-facing slopes ensures plenty of pure grape-ripening sunshine, while altitudes up to 300 metres in this mountain climate means lots of freshness too. Make a date with Alsace and enjoy this wine with a creamy pork casserole, grilled fish or broccoli soufflé. It's pure delicious solo too.
