For the finest Torrontés on earth, look out for the name Susana Balbo. She is Argentina’s pioneering female winemaker, consultant and wine ambassador, who has spent 35 years perfecting wine from her country’s definitive white grape. Osadia de Crear means Dare to Create. It’s also the name of Susana’s award winning winery restaurant. Together with her winemaker son José Lovaglio Balbo, Susana has created this exclusive un-oaked Torrontés to complement the other hugely successful wines in their range. The grapes are grown organically at 1100 to 1800 metres altitude, giving a pristine and exuberant quality. With notes of jasmine, rose petals and lychees, this is a thrilling aperitif, or partner with shellfish, sushi or aromatic Asian cuisine.
