Excellence is a superb reserve Corbières from a fine family estate. Their Trophy winning heritage goes all the way back to Montpellier’s International Trade Fair in 1927. The family make a number of wines, all from the Languedoc – a region of which they’re extremely proud. Corbières is one of its finest appellations, producing reds of “real quality and integrity” (Jancis Robinson MW). We’ve been buying from Vianney Castan for a long time now, so when he got news of a cancelled order, he gave our Buyer Beth a call and offered us a tempting deal. This premium Corbières showcases the trio of old vine Carignan, Grenache and Syrah. With succulent fruit, wild herbs and hints of spice, it’s ideal with a rich herby casserole or lamb chops.
