Two hours’ drive north of Adelaide finds you in the beautiful Clare Valley, source of some of Australia’s finest, pinpoint-fresh Rieslings. Increasingly, Clare’s also gaining a name for pure-fruit Shiraz and Cabernets. With a peerless reputation, and from some of best wineries in Oz, the wines don’t often come cheap. However, with excellent contacts our Buyer Dan is usually first to hear when there’s a parcel needing a home sharpish. At a favourable price, naturally, in return for quick action. Just what we have here – with the 2018 grapes about to land, it was time to clear the cellar. This Shiraz Cabernet blend is dense yet silky with crunchy ripe fruit that’ll soften and mature gracefully, if you can resist drinking it. Ideal with lamb.

"Delighted to bag this Clare Valley beauty. Intense fruit and length and real poise" Dan Parrott
