We can't disclose the name of this Barossa cellar but it was founded late 19th century and James Halliday gives it 5-Stars, describing it as producing wines of "abundant personality". Indeed, its top wines, often £50+ a bottle, sell out fast. The family have been serious pioneers from the start, have won every major trophy going, including the top one of them all, the Jimmy Watson. This is a new wine for them - mostly Grenache, a grape that's set to knock Shiraz off its perch in the Barossa. It's all the talk in the valley and over here too. The Telegraph wrote "The best from Australia's hot-spots are rumbustious, life-affirming, glass-clinking reds." Thanks to fast action from our Buyer there, Dan Parrott, it's a great price too.
