More information
Vines have been grown at this multi award winning Minervois property since the 4th century AD. It passed through six generations of the Julien family before the Bonfils clan, renowned for their Bordeaux and Languedoc wines, purchased the estate. That was in 2014 and since then they have been gradually pushing quality ever higher and adding to the already significant award tally. Next to La Montagne Noire, the estate is not only renowned for its wines, but for its soils too, largely schist and limestone. There is also a special vein of marble that was used to build columns of the Grand Trianon at Versailles and the stairs of the Paris Opera House. This velvety, barrel matured red is named after the wonderful truffles discovered in this area.
