More information
Right in the heart of Provence, halfway between Aix-en-Provence and Saint Tropez, this superb estate sits on 140 hectares of oak forest, olive groves, wild garrigue and (of course) vines. Indeed, it can boast some of the best vineyards in the area. Château Terrebonne dates back to the Romans who first planted vines here more than 2,000 years ago. Today they make their flagship rosé using grapes from their best vineyards, with vines over 40 years old. This, along with many hours of sunshine, accounts for the concentrated, super-high quality of the wine. Winemaker Hervé Sabardeil insists on night harvesting to bring a lovely balancing freshness to this elegant, complex rosé. Superb for a celebratory lunch with white meats or salmon.
