Château Cantelaude-Borie 2017

Moulis-en-Medoc AOC

Critic Jeb Dunnock declared 2017 responsible for “some terrific wines” in Bordeaux. Château Cantelaude Borie proves that, if you look in the right places, there’s also some superb value. A stunning Moulis-en-Médoc punching miles above its price.

Lovers of the finest Bordeaux will instantly recognise the striking orange on Château Cantelaude-Borie’s label. It’s shared by its sister property, £120+ per bottle Château Ducru Beaucaillou. That’s not all the two châteaux share, either. Both wines are made from start to finish by Bruno Borie – Château Cantelaude Borie is his brand new labour of love. Safe to say it’s impressing already. Indeed our Fine Wine Team was so struck by the quality and value on offer here that they didn’t take a single other Moulis from the 2017 vintage. This one left the competition trailing in its wake! Incredibly polished, in the style of Ducru Beaucaillou and boasting a beautiful perfume of red fruit, lovers of great Bordeaux are well advised to stock up.

"From the Ducru-Beaucaillou stable, this is vibrant, full of red fruit and incredibly polished" Angus McLean
