The Minervois has plenty of breathtaking, dramatic scenery – ‘la France profonde’ in every sense. Its wines are some of the Languedoc’s most impressive, reflecting the wild herb beauty of its hillsides. Enjoy Château Canet – ripe, velvety and long.

Château Canet is the epitome of a charming southern French wine estate and one of the Minervois’ leading domaines. Owned today by Floris and Victoria Lemstra, its 45 hectares of vines are complemented by 3 hectares of olive groves plus farmland and pine forests. The setting is enchanting with uninterrupted views of the distant Alaric mountains. In the heart of the ‘Pays Cathare’, with its rich medieval history, Château Canet is just a short drive from UNESCO World Heritage Sites the Cité de Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, and the owners even run holiday gîtes for wine loving guests. Made from old vine Syrah and Grenache, this part oak aged Minervois is juicy and smooth with a hint of spice. Perfect with casseroles and grilled meats.
