A regular recipient of Golds and high scores, Charles Heidsieck Champagne is always outstanding. Their top vintage fizz, however, is another leap higher. Aged for a full nine years on its lees in bottle, it’s deliciously long, ripe and complex.

Treat yourself to a bottle from one of the best known names in Champagne. It’s from the outstanding 2008 vintage too, which boasted top conditions throughout the region. Charles Heidsieck is related to the other Heidsieck Champagne house, but in 1851 the eponymous Charles decided to set up on his own. Nicknamed ‘Champagne Charlie’, he is hailed as the man who first made this fine fizz popular in North America. He became the toast of New York society. This elegant and superbly balanced Charles Heidsieck Vintage is carefully blended from 11 cru areas, including the renowned Vertus, Oger, Avize, Cramant and Ambonnay. A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it offers delicious, toasty notes of nuts, dried fruit and creamy richness. A fine treat.
