Glorious Grand Cru fizz from Delphine Cazal. Her 4th generation estate lies in the Côte de Blancs, home to some of Champagne’s greatest vineyards. She used to supply grapes to top houses like Dom Pérignon. Now she reserves them all for Cazal.

More information
Delphine Cazals’ vineyard lies right next door to one of Champagne’s smartest addresses, the bottles from which go for upward £300 a bottle. No wonder all the Grandes Marques are after her property. Instead, a few years back, she decided to make her own Grand Cru Champagne. Production is tiny. Her great grandfather, Ernest Cazals, founded the property. He was a cooper from Hérault, who sold his barrels in Champagne and dreamed of having his own Champagne estate. In 1897 he bought a tiny plot in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the Côte de Blancs' most highly rated villages. Her Grand Cru comprises all grapes from the family's 40+ year old vineyards. A very classy glass of fizz priced at a fraction of the price of its fancy name neighbours.
