British wine critic Will Lyons wrote: “Put quite simply there were some sensational wines made in Bordeaux in 2015 and anyone who enjoys drinking claret will love them.” Château Roquegrave is a prime example, boasting no fewer than four Gold medals.
"2015 is indeed a fantastic year, producing rich and opulent reds with ripe and velvety tannins"

Welcome to Château Roquegrave – a family owned estate comprising 30 hectares of vineyards planted on a high plateau with a commanding view of the Gironde Estuary. With an average age of 25 years, the vines are carefully tended by winemaker and owner Pierre-Yves Joannon. In 2015 he was blessed with perfect conditions for flowering. High temperatures through most of the summer led to a smaller harvest than normal, but while the volume was frugal, the quality of the fruit was outstanding. This gave Pierre-Yves wonderfully rich, concentrated juice to work with. Blending Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and a splash of Cabernet Franc, he aged the wine in French oak. A delicious claret, worthy of its medals, it is ideal with game and roast meats.
