Lapostolle Wines is no stranger to accolades – every year their small range of wines gains many points from top critics – well over 90! Take this 2017 – a straight 100 from James Suckling (again). You can count the wines across the world on one hand that achieve that rating. This pioneering estate was founded in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournier. Originally from Bordeaux, they fell in love with Chile’s Colchagua Valley. They built an impressive six-level winery, elliptically shaped, that today is still pure state of the art. The estate boasts 370 hectares of biodynamic vines across Colchagua, Casablanca and Cachapoal. Two years in new French oak, this is a serious red. Decant early or cellar a few years.

"The most classically structured wine ever from here. Goes on for minutes. Outrageous and so polished" James Suckling
