Decanter called this wine "a slow burner", as its creamy apricot, almond and honey flavours develop slowly as you sip. It's a luscious white made from the rare Timorasso grape by a family, “turning out distinctive wines that deserve attention” (WA).

With a Trophy and 97 points from Decanter, this is an exceptional white and a rare find of Timorasso. This grape is regarded as one of Italy's most exciting recent finds, grown exclusively in the Colli Tortonesi, a small region in southeast Piedmont, not far from Gavi. The wine is from the Broglia family, who set up in Gavi in 1972, restoring a villa with meticulous care, then doing the same in the vineyards. Today, it is in the hands of the third generation, Roberto and Filippo. Their fine whites regularly win high scores, while their winemaker is Professor Donato Lanati, 2015's Winemaker of the Year. This is a white to savour. Serve gently chilled, and enjoy on its own or with creamy white meat dishes, luxury fish pie or risotto.
