We’re thrilled – and exceptionally lucky – to bring you this limited edition red from one of the oldest winemaking dynasties in the Southern Rhône. A gorgeous wine beefed up by Châteauneuf du Pape from the much acclaimed 350 year old Diffonty estate.

Decanter praised 2017: "Winemakers across the Rhône are celebrating a vintage of excellent quality”. It's certainly up there with the power vintage 2015, the first year we asked Jean-Marc Diffonty to make this rich red. That was to commemorate the 20th anniversary of working together and was such a hit that we asked him to make it again in 2016 and 2017. Jean-Marc's family estate has centuries of history – indeed, the wines were blessed by the Pope himself – and recent times have shown Jean-Marc as a true star. US critic Parker describes his wines as “the most forceful and powerful of Châteauneuf”. Rule breaking Benedictus blends Côtes du Rhône with premium Châteauneuf, aged a year in oak for smoothness. Decant before serving if you can.

"Excellent, almost Châteauneuf. Great flavours and depth. Wonderful with cheese and beef!" Online Review
